Who Is Socatime Joeys® ?
Billy Angeloglou has had a long history with football and from as early as age 10 he started to play football in Melbourne Australia with the Richmond Jaguars FC to age 15 and then went on to play for Hawthorn Citizens FC until age 17. He has since this time played indoor football 5 a side in Australia, Belgium and England. He has always been an avid supporter of South Melbourne Hellas but his support extends to Tottenham Hotspurs in England and globally he follows all international competitions.
Billy and his wife Louisa were living in Manchester England for 2.5 years over the period 2004 to 2006. During this time they gave birth to their first child and son Stevaan Xiaohui. Billy was keen to encourage his interest of football with Stevaan and so he looked into gaining professional football coaching qualifications in order to give him his first start with the ball following correct football training methodology. He proceeded to gain his Level 1 and 2 FA Football Coaching certifications including others such as FA Coaching disabled footballers, Futsol, Soccer Parent, Child Protection and Best Practice certifications. As a part of these courses he was required to seek practical experience. He worked with Altrincham Football Club reserves and youths (Conference League) and worked with the under 10’s, 11’s, 12’s, 13’s, 14’s, 15’s and 17s for Broadheath Central FC. At this time he had the pleasure of meeting Stuart Leicester who is the Head Coach at Manchester United for the under 9’s and who works also with the under 10’s at the Cliff and was invited by him to observe the children train for some sessions 2005/2006 season. He is head coach for Manchester University and together with Stephen Lewis who is the head coach of Broadheath FC for the 11’s and 17’s are the directors of SIS (Sports in Schools )also coaches at Stockport County (centre of excellence). Billy is at the moment completing his Level 3 FA UEFA B badge in coaching football, which is over a 2-year period.
From extensive research and the qualifications and experience gained, Bill and Louisa started developing football programmes for their son at age 9 months and through a trial and error method discovered what he could cope and not cope with. To their anticipated surprise by the age of 13 months, Stevaan Xiaohui was capable of kicking, passing and dribbling a ball proficiently.
Billy and his family have returned to Australia in 2007. As a result of the professional qualifications and experience gained by Billy and this together with the achievements that his wife and him have accomplished with their son (not forgetting their keenness to further encourage and develop an exceptional soccer player in their one and only) they have decided to start SOCATIME JOEYS® which is a programme for pre-schoolers aged between 1 to 5 years as they feel they can give other parents wanting this for their children the very best start with soccer!
